What Are The Egyptian Zodiacs And How Do I Know Mine?

What is Egyptian Astrology?

The ancient Egyptians believed that various natural occurrences like famine and floods resulted from the solar movements. Based on this idea, they built up an arrangement of astronomy. The system of forecasting and drawing associations between these natural phenomena and their effect on human beings was termed as Egyptian Astrology.

The ancient Egyptians like every ancient culture and civilization had certain beliefs. They would monitor the movements of stars and how this movement affected the environment and seasons on the earth. These astronomers who were mostly priests believed these changes to be divine intervention.

While Mesopotamians built up the western indications of the zodiac, the Egyptian celestial prophets were building up the decan. These two astrological traditions met up at some point around the first century BCE. Presently, in the 21st Century, there are two kinds of Egyptian Astrology, one uses the customary dates based on the decan and the other depends on the western indications of the zodiac.
