Ivanka Trump's Husband Wiki: Everything To Know About Jared Kushner

Jared Kushner: Husband of Ivanka Trump

Born in New Jersey, Jared Kushner is a famous real-estate developer and is a practicing Orthodox Jew. Jared Kushner graduated from Harvard University and went on to earn degrees from both the New York University School of Law and the Stern School of Business. Though Jared Kushner was very intelligent and had a lot of business knowledge, Jared Kushner's acceptance into Harvard followed a three million dollar donation that his father made to the University. Following college, Jared Kushner joined the family business which was a real estate development firm. It's called Kushner Properties and it's an established money making machine that today holds $7 billion dollars in real estate assets. When his father was arrested, Jared Kushner took over the company. Jared Kushner also purchased a newspaper, 'The New York Observer,' in 2006. He revamped the paper and brought it into the world of technology by dropping the hard copy version and pushing it into its online presence. Jared Kushner married Ivanka Trump, Donald Trumps eldest daughter in 2009 after Ivanka converted to Judaism. Together, she and her husband have three children. In 2015 Jared Kushner was named one of Fortune Magazine's 40 Under 40. Their lives changed dramatically when Donald Trump decided to run for president. Jared Kushner was a key advisor to Trump during the campaign and up until recently had top secret security clearance within the White House. All of that, however, has recently changed because Kushner was recently stripped of the clearance. Most would describe Jared Kushner as quiet and very polite. He is also a very private person, so his foray into the public eye for the presidency was a difficult fight to keep himself out of the media.

Charles "Charlie" Kushner: Father of Jared Kushner

Jared Kushner's father and real-estate developer is the reason why Jared Kushner has been so successful in both real estate, as well as in life. His father, Charles "Charlie" Kushner, founded the real estate development organization Kushner Companies in 1985 and built it into a billion-dollar enterprise. Jared Kushner's net worth was developed by this, his investment and now ownership within the company. Jared Kushner's father was very supportive of his son. He taught him about life as a real-estate developer and gave him a solid foundation for success, but he wasn't the best role model. Jared Kushner was attending New York University when his father was sent to prison for tax fraud, witness tampering and illegal campaign donations. At the time, his father was the CEO of Kushner Properties which meant that Jared Kushner had to leave school and take over the family business in 2008. Jared Kushner was only twenty-seven years old and that's when he had no choice but to give up on his law degree. "My dad’s arrest made me realize I didn’t want to be a prosecutor anymore, Seeing my father’s situation, I felt what happened was obviously unjust in terms of the way they pursued him. I just never wanted to be on the other side of that and cause pain to the families I was doing that too, whether right or wrong. The moral weight of that was probably a bit more than I could carry." Jared Kushner's foray into real estate was the reason that his net worth is what it is today and being a lawyer wouldn't give him nearly as many investment opportunities. So despite the circumstances being negative, he joined the world of real estate, and it turned out to be very beneficial for he and his family. Despite all of the drama Jared Kushner has always remained close to his father. Charles Kushner served his jail sentence in Alabama and his visited him almost every weekend. It was Charles' brother Murray that sued Charles over his political contributions and this is what led to the criminal investigation. Ironically the investigation was led by then-New Jerseys U.S. attorney general Chris Christie. During this time he thought his sister was also involved and working with the government against him. He tried to blackmail her husband by setting up a prostitute trap but it failed. Presently, real-estate developer Charles is back at Kushner Properties. He and his real-estate developer son Jared Kushner work on the same floor of their Fifth Avenu building that Jared Kushner bought for 1.8 billion dollars while his father was in prison.

Charles, Josh and Jared Kushner. After their father's arrest Josh Turned to Jared for support and they are now very close.

Josh Kushner: Brother of Jared Kushner

Jared Kushner has a brother, Josh Kushner. Currently, Josh Kushner is dating model Karlie Kloss and just like his brother Jared, he is passionate about various political causes. Josh has made his opinions very public and despite the fact that Donald Trump is his brother's father-in-law, he did not vote for him in the 2016 presidential election. Even though Josh is not as deep into the real estate ventures as his father and brother he did make his own way and his own fortune in the technology industry. After several failures, he founded Thrive Capital in 2009. Thrive Capital was one of the first investors in Instagram and Slack. Josh also co-founded Oscar, a health insurance company which has a net worth of $2.7 billion dollars. He also co-founded Cadre, a way to invest in real estate online. Both his brother and his father use Cadre often and they've used it to raise billions of dollars.

Jared Kushner: The publisher

Jared has other business dealing besides real estate, one being that of a newspaper owner. Jared Kushner bought the New York Observer in 2006 for $10 million dollars. When Jared Kushner bought it, it was a print edition but since it was purchased the print version has been scrapped and the newspaper can now only be read on-line. Jared Kushner served as the publisher of The New York Observer until he accepted a job at the White House in 2017. "He bought absolutely, positively, a dying publication in the Observer, It was a cultural icon, but it was also within hours of becoming a cultural relic. So when you change something, everyone gets upset, and Jared changed it because what it was couldn't possibly continue to exist financially." - Observer Official With Jared Kushner's departure from the paper as publisher Jared Kushner's brother in law Joeseph Meyer took over as publisher. Meyer has been the CEO of Observer Media Group since 2013 so jumping into the job as publisher of the paper was not a shot in the dark.

Letter from the new publisher announcing Jared's departure as publisher

Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump: Husband and wife

Jared Kushner is not the only one in the family with security clearance because his wife Ivanka Trump has security clearance as well. Not only are they broth presidential advisors they both have similar backgrounds. They were both heavy hitters for their father's real estate companies and in fact first met when they were sent by the company to discuss a business deal with each company. They are both business minded and appreciate and respect each others overtime office work. They both married in 2009 after Ivanka converted to Judaism even though his parents were very hesitant regarding the marriage because of that issue but eventually they gave in and they gave their blessings to the happy couple. They make time for date night, and Ivanka once mentioned that Jared Kushner takes her to properties he is thinking about buying for her to look at or development sites. How romantic is that? Jared Kushner has stated, "I would say she is definitely the CEO of our household, whereas I'm more on the board of directors. We both pick up slack for each other where it's needed, but she doesn't want to outsource mothering, so she's very involved." Though Jared Kushner's business prospects are very important to him, family always comes first. "You see in life that things can be taken from you, whether it's money, status or freedom, But the things that can't be taken are the things that are most important to work to achieve, such as love and family and friendships." - The Guardian 2008

Jared Kushners children and other family members

Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump have three children. Arabella Kushner Born: July 17, 2011 (age 6) Theodore James Kushner Born: March 27, 2016 (age 1) Joseph Frederick Kushner October 14, 2013 (age 4) As soon as the children can speak they started Mandarin lessons. Arabella seems to be fluent. It costs the family seventy five thousand dollars yearly to have someone teach their children a second language but it's worth it to both parents. Arabella started learning Mandarin when she was three, and at six years old she speaks both Mandarin and English. Her younger brother Joseph is four and he too, now takes lessons too. Arabella and Joeseph both attend Jewish Primary Day School though when they were first enrolled there was a lot of controversy, all stemming from the parents who did not support Trump's new position as president. Despite the conflict of opinions, they welcomed the children unbiasedly.

Ivanka Trump-: Her husband and his causes

Jared Kushner the real-estate developer has other causes he likes to push, the biggest cause being the fact that he is a proponent of technology. Technology is important for any advances, whether it be in society as a whole or a single person's daily life. His goal is to somehow get more people without access to technology a better chance while helping the world and it's overall development. Making the internet accessible to everyone is something Jared Kushner is dedicated to. "Right now, I'm very passionate about internet and figuring out ways to bring more broadband and internet to areas that don't have it.That's one of the things in our country that if we can solve over the next, hopefully, decade, I think we'll be able to find that we can bring a lot more opportunity and hopefully prosperity to our country." Despite Jared Kushner's passion for technology he does not use social media, in fact, the only account that the public knows about is on Twitter. He has recently deleted all of his tweets.

Ivanka Trump: Instagram/twitter featuring her husband

The only real social media presence Jared Kushner has is via Ivanka Trumps Instagram and Twitter. Unlike his father-in-law Jared Kushner spends little time on Twitter himself. While he does have a Twitter account he has only posted a few times in the past and all of it has since been deleted. We are all aware, however, that his father-in-law, Donald Trump, uses Twitter as a remarkable modern platform that allows him to get his word out to the public and receive feedback in real time. Twitter is an important asset in the current White House and many of Trump's advisors use it as well. Ivanka typically features Jared Kushner in Instagram and Twitter via photos of him with their children.

The husband of Ivanka Trump: Stepping away from the business

Even though Jared Kusner has security clearance and a Sr. advisor position within the White House, he still has to obey the conflict of interest laws leaving his businesses behind him. Presently Jared Kushner's security clearance was revoked thanks due in part to the efforts of John Kelly. Many felt as though Kushner didn't need access to events and other things taking place at the White House and they are now praising Kelly's efforts to strip Kushner of his credentials. Now that he doesn't have such a high-security clearance as he did previously he may go back to working the real estate game. Trump gave John Kelly the power to make specific security decisions just like the one he made with Jared but Trump is still not happy. According to the news many foreign leaders were banking on Jared Kushner's lack of experience and political naivety to get what they wanted from the United States and the President, as well. Whether that is actually true has yet to be seen though it has been reported that he has met with many of the leaders alone during the course of his tenure. His main job regarding foreign affairs was to foster peace between Palestine and Israel. So far the only move regarding that issue was moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem.

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner's House in Washington, D.C. (net worth and square feet)

When his father-in law moved to the White House, Ivanka and Jared had to move to DC as well. They found a beautiful 8,200-square-foot house that they are renting the for $15,000 dollars a month. The owner is billionaire Andronico Luksic and the house is a few seconds away from the Obamas' home in DC.

Their new house has six bedrooms and 6,870 square feet. It has five fireplaces and a large garden. It was designed by Waddy Wood, built in 1923 and has an estimated retail value of $5.5 million dollars.

Jared Kushner : The Trump transition team.

As soon as Trump was elected the first action made regarding his cabinet was the firing Chris Christie. A rumored gesture spurred by Kushner assumed retaliation for the arrest of his father less than a decade ago. "Six months ago Governor Christie and I decided this election was much bigger than any differences we may have had in the past, and we worked very well together. The media has speculated on a lot of different things, and since I don't talk to the press, they go as they go, but I was not behind pushing out him or his people." There was never any real certainty around Kushner's motives since he rarely talks to the press. In fact, he talks in public so little there are jokes about what his voice really sounds like. Billionaire Peter Thiel and friend of Jared Kushner described the role Kushner played in Trump's election: "It's hard to overstate and hard to summarize Jared's role in the campaign. If Trump was the CEO, Jared was effectively the chief operating officer." Kushner and Trumps success was secured by Kushner's use of manipulation through social media. Rather than following Clinton and Obama's methods, he used the growing technology to his advantage, something the Democrats did not have much experience with. He pulled the campaign through a different pathway which changed a lot of the ways future campaigns will be run. Kushner started with Trumps campaign from the very beginning when they had very little in the beginning as far as resources were concerened. Unlike Hillary Clinton who was an experienced campaigning juggernaut, Trump had no political experience and neither did most of his team. The social media success didn't start until they realized that there was a huge following for Trump and that they might be able to win. Kushner told Trump that there was essentially a huge market that was not being tapped into, and that was the world of social media. Trump saw the potential and gave the reigns regarding Facebook to Kushner. Kushner was the right man for the job because Not only did he have enough personal experience from converting the New York Observer to a digital platform, he had hundreds of the most powerful and intelligent contacts in the world. "I called some of my friends from Silicon Valley, some of the best digital marketers in the world, and asked how you scale down this stuff. They gave me their subcontractors." Kushner reported to Forbes during the first interview since Trump was elected. "I called somebody who works for one of the technology companies that I work with, and I had them give me a tutorial on how to use Facebook micro-targeting," All in all, Kushner spent one hundred and sixty thousand dollars and in return got 74 million views. "Jared understood the online world in a way the traditional media folks didn't. He managed to assemble a presidential campaign on a shoestring using new technology and won. That's a big deal," says Schmidt, the Google billionaire. "Remember all those articles about how they had no money, no people, organizational structure? Well, they won, and Jared ran it."

"We weren't afraid to make changes. We weren't afraid to fail. We tried to do things very cheaply, very quickly. And if it wasn't working, we would kill it quickly," Kushner said. "It meant making quick decisions, fixing things that were broken and scaling things that worked."

Jared Kushner: Ivanka Trump and the White House

Jared Kushner is President Donald Trump's Sr. Advisor in the Trump administration and in the beginning he held a temporary security clearance. Though Kushner is married to Ivanka Trump, he did not have the official role of Sr. Advisor or any official role title during Trump's campaign In the days following Trumps Inauguration, Jared found himself becoming more aggressive and territorial. Working in DC is hard enough with years of experience but Jared was rushed into the oval office as a Sr. Advisor without any experience. Though Trump and Jared do butt heads occasionally Trump always has nice words to say about his son-in-law and Sr. Advisor. "Honestly, Jared is a very successful real estate person, but I actually think he likes politics more than he likes real estate," Trump said at a rally. "But he's very good at politics." He was granted security clearance that lasted until February 2018 when he was downgraded from Top Secret to just Secret. Jared Kushner is the one said to be the brains behind Trump's social media campaign. He pushed for the exchange of Corey Lewandowski for Reince Priebus. Currently, his main role is Sr. Advisor and fighting for the peace between Israel and Palestine and he runs the Office of American Innovation as well. The Office of American Innovation is all about infiltrating the corrupt politics via business methods. “Viewed internally as a SWAT team of strategic consultants, the office will be staffed by former business executives and is designed to infuse fresh thinking into Washington. It allows those executives to float above the daily political grind and create a lasting legacy for a president still searching for signature achievements, The government should be run like a great American company. Our hope is that we can achieve successes and efficiency for our customers, who are the citizens,” This is how he feels and among the businesses involved are Tim Cook, Bill Gates, Marc Benioff, and even Elon Musk.

Ivanka Trump's husband: The Russia Scandal

A huge topic all news sources have been covering for the last year has been the Russia Investigation, led by Special Council appointed law enforcer Robert Mueller. The investigation is to determine how much the Russian government influenced the United States 2016 election. and at this point, it's no longer a question of if they did, but who exactly knew about it. There are dozens of people surrounding Trump that are being questioned regarding the issue and it's now not as simple as it was a few months ago, assuming that there was a simple scandal of Russian collusion. It was mostly about whether Russia offered the Trump Campaign dirt on Hilary Clinton, but it seems to be much deeper than that. As Trumps Sr. advisor, Jared Kushner is in an awkward place regarding the investigation and the special counsel is after him to see what he knows.

Jared's Involvement

Jared has been working for Trump unofficially for a while even before he was a Sr. Advisor, and even before the election. He was Sr. Advisor on his campaign and he has been close to Trump since. His involvement was first noted when it was discovered that Jared Kushner, Paul Manafort and Donald Trump JR, along with several others met in Trump Tower in June of 2016. They met with a Russian lawyer and four other Russian involved people. The rumored reason for the meeting was to obtain campaign ruining details on Hilary Clinton but they later reported that it was about adoption laws. The intent was to support Trump's campaign though at the time the reason was unknown. In fact, the public didn't know about the meeting until Trump was already elected. It was all speculation until Donald JR Tweeted out the actual emails regarding the meeting and this is was what essentially launched the investigation. The Russia investigation has been going on for almost a year now and its' become even more complicated because the scandal is intertwining through everyone's finances. Jared Kushner was at the pivotal meeting with the Russians and is one of the few people that actually knows what happened and what was discussed. He is assumed to hold a key position regarding the case against Trump for obstruction of justice. But its more likely that the meeting was uneventful since he tried to leave part of the way through. He had been questioned by the special council but nothing came of it publicly. Recently Jared's security clearance, which was temporary was downgraded from Top Secret to just Secret. This means that the authority Trump gave him was not approved by John Kelly. Trump is no longer taking as much advice from Jared Kushner, allowing John Kelly to make the clearance decisions.

Sr. Advisor, Jared Kushner denies any unlawful meeting wrong doing. He met with the Senate Intelligence committee in July and submitted a statement as Sr. advisor saying that he wasn't hiding anything and there was not any collusion. He was questioned by the FBI special counsel by Robert Mueller after Mueller began looking into Sr. advisor Kushner's private business deals over the summer. In November Jared Kushner met with Robert Mueller again to discuss Michael Flynn, a member of Trump's team and his role from his Sr. advisor perspective. It looks like Kushner and Trump are in the clear of the investigation following the indictment of Manafort and Gates.
